New Delhi. Finally, the day which Indian cricket fans were eagerly waiting for has arrived. New pace sensation Mayank Yadav and all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy got a chance to debut for India. Both the players together made their international debut through the Gwalior T20 match against Bangladesh. Captain Suryakumar Yadav won the toss and decided to bowl first. Surya said during the toss that two talented players from India have succeeded in making a place in the playing eleven for the first time.
After winning the toss, Suryakumar Yadav said, 'We would like to bowl first. There is moisture in the wicket, I don't think the wicket will change later. It is always a great feeling to come back home and play in home conditions. We are really excited for this. The team consists of many talents. The most important thing is that the players are eager to learn. This is a very good thing.' Former spinner and currently playing the role of commentator Murali Karthik gave the debut cap to Mayank Yadav while Parthiv Patel handed over the cap to Nitish Kumar Reddy.
Mayank Yadav bowls at a speed of more than 150 km
Delhi-born Mayank Yadav made a lot of headlines in IPL 2024 while playing for LSG. He has been rewarded for his brilliant performance in the IPL by joining Team India for the first time. This right-handed pacer bowled at a speed of more than 150 in the 17th edition of the IPL in the LSG team captained by KL Rahul. However, later he got injured and was out of the tournament.
Nitish Reddy had performed brilliantly for SRH.
On the other hand, Andhra Pradesh all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy was included in Team India for the first time this year but due to injury, he was out before the tournament started. Finally, Nitish also got the fruits of his hard work and today he has made his debut. This all-rounder had made a splash in the IPL while playing for Sunrisers Hyderabad. He had earlier got a chance in the team for the Zimbabwe tour but he got injured before the tournament started.
