In this year's DUSU elections, NSUI had fielded 22-year-old Raunak Khatri, known as 'Matka Man', for the post of president. In fact, from protests to election campaigns, he was always seen with a pot. In fact, Raunak Khatri, a law student at Delhi University, had been raising his voice against the poor arrangement of drinking water ever since his college admission. When his demand was not met, he himself got the pots placed in the college in March 2024.

Knocked the door of the court for drinking water

Raunak Khatri himself got pots placed for drinking water in the college. But he did not stop demanding proper arrangements for drinking water. He even approached the court for this. He filed a petition for the provision of water coolers, WiFi, and AC in the college. After this, this problem was solved. Let us tell you that there are about 9000 students in the Law Faculty of DU.

On which issues did the election take place?

After becoming the presidential candidate from NSUI, Raunak had said that his main issue is to improve the infrastructure of DU. He had said that his mission is to bring transparency in admissions, work on issues related to female students, and to fulfill every point written in the NSUI manifesto.
