Everyone has uric acid in their body , but the kidneys filter it out. When you take a high-purine diet and there is some disturbance in the lifestyle, the amount of uric acid in the body increases. When uric acid is high, there is a problem of pain and swelling in the joints. Especially there is severe pain in the ankle and heel of the feet. This pain increases while walking. If uric acid is also getting high in your body, then you can control it by taking some simple measures.

Measures to control uric acid

Eat gourd vegetables- According to Swami Ramdev, to eliminate uric acid, include gourd vegetables in the diet. Such elements are found in gourds which easily remove the purine deposited in the joints. Gourd is a high-fiber food that can control uric acid. Therefore, eat gourd vegetables daily for a week. It will provide relief for both joint pain and swelling.

Drink lots of water- A uric acid patient should drink as much water as possible. Drinking water improves kidney function, which removes the accumulated purine. Drinking water removes the toxins accumulated in the body. Increasing the amount of water will provide relief from both the pain and swelling of uric acid.

Gokharu water- According to Swami Ramdev, Gokharu water is the surefire remedy for controlling uric acid. Gokharu is a thorny herb. Which is used in the Ayurvedic treatment of high uric acid. Soak Gokharu in water and drink this water after filtering it in the morning. This will help in reducing high uric acid. You can also use Gokharu powder.

Other remedies- In case of high uric acid, high protein pulses should be removed from the diet. A patient with high uric acid should consume more fruits and green vegetables. Apart from this, whole grains, high fiber, and liquid diet should be consumed in large quantities.
