Mangala Gauri Vrat Niyam: In Hindu religious scriptures, the month of Sawan is dedicated to Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati. Worshiping Mahadev done in this month fulfills all the wishes of the devotees. Lord Shiva is worshipped on Mondays of Sawan, while the Mangala Gauri fast is observed on Tuesdays of Sawan. Every Tuesday of Sawan month is dedicated to Mother Parvati. This year, a total of 4 Mangala Gauri fasts are falling in Sawan. Out of which the fourth and last Mangala Gauri fast of Sawan is being observed today on 13 August. In such a situation, know the rules of fasting, worship method, and mantra to get the blessings of Mother Parvati. 

Rules of Mangala Gauri Vrat

Take a vow to observe fast today and stay disciplined. Consume only satvik food on this day. Along with this, maintain the purity of body and mind during the Mangala Gauri fast. Follow the Puja Vidhi regularly and chant mantras carefully. If you are observing the Mangala Gauri fast, avoid wearing black and blue clothes. Offer bhog to God and only then eat yourself. Donating to the needy and poor on the fast day is considered auspicious. Serve them.

Method of worship of Mangala Gauri fast 

If you are keeping Mangala Gauri fast today, then first of all take a bath this morning and wear clean clothes. Meditate on this Maa Gauri and clean the temple of the house. Install the idol of Maa Gauri. Prepare naivedya, water, sandalwood, akshat, flowers, fruits, incense, lamps and clothes for worship. Offer red-colored clothes and Suhaag items to Maa Parvati. After this, worship Maa Gauri with rituals. Later light a ghee lamp and do Aarti. Offer the worship material to Maa Dauri and listen to the fast story of Mangala Gauri. After the worship, wish for the long life of the husband and a happy married life.
