While replying to the discussion on '75 years of glorious journey of the Constitution' in the House, Prime Minister Modi mentioned the Emergency and said, "Whenever democracy will be discussed in the world, this stigma will never be removed from the forehead of Congress because democracy was strangled. Without naming anyone, PM Modi said that the Constitution gives the message of unity in diversity, but after independence, the basic idea of ​​unity was attacked. He said, "I have to say with great sadness that the Constitution makers had the idea of ​​unity in mind, but after independence, the basic idea of ​​the country's unity was attacked and people who grew up with the mentality of slavery kept finding contradictions instead of unity in diversity."

PM Modi said, "In the decisions of our government, there has been a constant effort to strengthen the unity of India. Article 370 was a hindrance to unity and hence we buried it in the ground." He said, "When we are celebrating 75 years of the implementation of the Constitution, it is a good coincidence that a woman is occupying the post of President, which is also in accordance with the spirit of the Constitution."
