The dangers of Bangladesh's instability are increasing day by day, now their terrorists have reached our doorstep. Assam, Kerala and West Bengal FTF have busted a big terror module and arrested 8 terrorists. One of them is a Bangladeshi terrorist. The special thing is that their intention was not just to spread terror in the country, but to cut our neck. They wanted to separate the Siliguri Corridor from India, which we know as 'Chicken Neck'.

Where were the terrorists caught?
The Special Task Force of Assam Police exposed this jihadi terrorist module with the help of Kerala and Bengal Police. The terrorists caught from across the country include Mohammad Saad Radi, a resident of Bangladesh. Two terrorists Minarul Sheikh and Mohammad Abbas Ali were arrested in West Bengal, while Noor Islam Mandal, Abdul Karim Mandal, Mojibar Rahman, Hamidul Islam and Inamul Haque were arrested from Assam. These arrests were made during simultaneous raids between 17 and 18 December. Mobile phones, pen drives, religious texts and official documents related to a country were recovered from them. But the things told by Bengal ATF after interrogation were frightening. Bengal STF said that the target of these terrorists was Siliguri Corridor, which we also know as 'Chicken Neck'.

Why is 'Chicken Neck' so important?
'Chicken Neck' is also known as Sikkiguri Corridor. It is the area around Siliguri city and is spread over a radius of 22 kilometers. It connects seven states of North East to India. You can also call it the gateway of the states of North East. Nepal and Bangladesh border it on both sides. Siliguri Corridor came into existence after the partition of Bengal in 1947. When Sikkim became a state of India in 1975, the Chumbi Valley here became strategically important for India. It is from here that the Indian forces keep an eye on China. The Indian Army, Assam Rifles, West Bengal Police and SSB keep a close watch on 'Chicken Neck'.

China has been eyeing the 'Chicken Neck' for years
. It has been trying to come close to this area time and again. The Doklam dispute in 2017 also happened with the intention of occupying the Chicken Neck. China was arbitrarily building a road in Bhutan's area, when Indian soldiers stopped them, they started fighting. They increased the gathering of their army. India also gave a befitting reply and stood its army in front of them. The danger was more because if China came so close to India, it would be easy for them to keep an eye on our land. Food, water and arms-ammunition are sent to our soldiers from this area. Because of this, you can understand the importance of this place.

So what did the terrorists want to do?
The intention of the arrested terrorists was to create sleeper cells across the country, recruit new terrorists and through this incite violence in the entire area. Their aim was to create communal tension so that they get a chance to create chaos in those areas. The documents recovered from them also provide strong evidence of this. The STF has also discovered their connection with terrorists from Bangladesh and Pakistan. There is evidence of conversation in their pen drive. Special DGP Harmeet Singh said that a Bangladeshi national card has been recovered from them. Technical evidence has revealed that they were in contact with their masters in Bangladesh and Pakistan in recent months. These people were looking for ways to procure arms and ammunition so that they could incite riots.
