One such case has come to light in Bhawanipatna, Odisha. A step taken by an 11th class student studying in a girls hostel has shocked friends, police and parents. The girl's parents say that they talked to their daughter at night and she seemed a little sad. The parents say that they cannot believe that their daughter took such a step.

According to the information, the student studying in class 11 in commerce stream lived in Indravati hostel of Maa Manikeshwari University. The student has been identified as Tofali Naik, a resident of Birikote village of Thuamul Rampur block of Kalahandi district. On the morning of Thursday, 19 December 2024, a friend of Tofali found the bathroom door closed. She knocked repeatedly but there was no response. After this, the hostel administration was informed about it. Then the local police was informed about it. When the police reached the spot and opened the door, Tofali had turned into a corpse. Seeing this, the police and her friend were shocked.

Towel, shower pipe and Tofali
Police officer said that with the help of local police, the bathroom door of the girls' hostel was broken. Tofali's body was tied to the shower pipe with a towel. Police recovered the body from there and sent it for postmortem. Forensic investigation of the crime scene has also been done. Police said that further investigation is being done in the case at present. Police suspect that Tofali has committed suicide. On the other hand, University VC Nibedita Nath said that the real cause of death will be revealed only from the postmortem report.

Shocked parents
Tofali's parents are shocked by this incident. They cannot believe that their daughter is no more in this world. The student's father told that he had talked to his daughter at night. Her mother also talked to her. She seemed a little depressed. They told that they do not know why Tofali took such a step. On the other hand, Tofali's friends and other students living in the girls' hostel are also shocked by this incident.
