The Israeli army started a limited target ground operation in Lebanon on October 1. This entire operation was named 'Northern Arrow'. On one hand, the Israeli army was targeting Hezbollah's bases and weapons depots by carrying out air strikes one after the other, while the operation on the ground was also going on in full swing. But now the time for a ceasefire has come. According to Israeli media, this ceasefire agreement was prepared on Monday and it may be approved in the Israeli National Security Cabinet meeting to be held on Tuesday.

The Israeli government spokesperson said, 'We are moving towards a deal, but there are still some issues that need to be addressed.' However, Benjamin Netanyahu has also approved it. According to the report, the leadership of Hezbollah in Lebanon is also agreeing to this ceasefire offer from America, but nothing can be said until the deal is done.

Hezbollah has stopped its rockets.
Ever since the discussions of this ceasefire started, there has been a decrease in Hezbollah's attacks from Lebanon. Hezbollah used to fire 150-200 rockets on Israel in a day. On Monday this figure was limited to just double digits. However, the Israeli army i.e. IDF wants to destroy all the major bases of Hezbollah before the announcement of this ceasefire and that is why continuous air strikes are being carried out. On Monday, IDF dropped bombs on many bases of Hezbollah's Executive Council. This is the supreme body of Hezbollah.

In this war, the IDF launched the century's most shocking pager attack on Hezbollah, which became an example of technical warfare. When more than 3000 Hezbollah terrorists were targeted simultaneously through pager attacks. The surprise came when they entered Beirut and killed Hezbollah chief Nasrallah along with his 20 other commanders. That too with the best use of technology, which no one could even imagine.

However, no one would have thought that Hezbollah, which is being supported by Iran, and the US, which is constantly helping Israel in the war, would suddenly agree to a ceasefire. It is clear that Biden at least wants to take the credit for stopping this war before Donald Trump comes to power.

The worries of UN peacekeepers will end with the ceasefire.
However, this ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah will also end the worries of UN peacekeepers. While Hezbollah was continuously raining rockets on UNIFIL bases, the Israeli army was also entering its posts with its tanks. So far 45 Lebanese soldiers have died in Israeli attacks. This is the reason why just before the ceasefire, UNIFIL issued a worrying statement expressing displeasure over the Israeli army targeting the Lebanese army.

UNIFIL said in its statement that the Israeli Air Force targeted Lebanese soldiers even after the Lebanese army declared that it would not join the war. The Lebanese army has suffered heavy lossesofn life and property in Israeli attacks in the last few weeks. According to the Lebanese army, 45 of its soldiers have been killed so far. Such attacks are a violation of United Nations Security Council Resolution 1701 and international human rights laws, which are not even included in the conflict.

However, the ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah will not only bring relief to the common people of Lebanon, but those who are forced to take refuge in Syria and other places to escape this war will also be able to return home.
