Srinagar. Srinagar: Two laborers were killed and two others were injured in a terrorist attack in the Ganderbal district of Jammu Kashmir. They said that the terrorists opened fire on the labor camp of a private company that is engaged in tunnel construction work in the Gund area of ​​the district. They said that two laborers died on the spot, while two others were injured. Police and army have cordoned off the area to nab the attackers. Jammu Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has condemned the incident.

Earlier, the body of a migrant laborer was found in the Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday. Officials had said that the body of a laborer hailing from Bihar was recovered from the Wachi area of ​​​​Jainapura in the South Kashmir district. The laborer was identified as Ashok Chauhan, who lived in the Sangam area of ​​​​Anantnag. Chauhan's body had two bullet marks. Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Saturday condemned the killing of a non-local laborer in Shopian district.

In a post on the social media platform 'X', the Lieutenant Governor said, "I strongly condemn the brutal killing of laborer Ashok Chauhan by cowardly terrorists in Shopian. The whole country stands shoulder to shoulder with his family. Our security forces are determined to nab the culprits and bring them to justice."

Sinha said that his condolences are with Chauhan's family and friends in this hour of grief. He said, "I have instructed the Jammu and Kashmir Police and the district administration to provide all possible assistance." Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and political parties of the valley have also condemned the killing.

Abdullah wrote on 'X', "Very sad to hear about the killing of Ashok Chauhan by terrorists in South Kashmir. These attacks are despicable and should be strongly condemned. I express my condolences to the family and loved ones of the deceased." Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) president Tariq Hameed Karra condemned the killing of the laborer and called it extremely unfortunate and shocking.
