New Delhi. In the statement of PDP leader Iltija Mufti, BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said that 'Hindutva is the culture of the country, it is sanskar (values)…and those who are ignorant of the culture and values of this country, they definitely need to be given a message about Sanatan culture once again. As far as the question is concerned, Hindutva gives the message of taking all sections of the society along and moving forward with inclusive thinking. There is no need to educate anyone about this. Some people have developed a phobia of Hindutva and those who have such a phobia of Hindutva should study about it once. They should understand…'
On the other hand, People's Democratic Party (PDP) leader Iltija Mufti has clarified her 'controversial' post, in which she had strongly criticized 'Hindutva' and called it a 'disease' and said that there is a lot of difference between 'Hindutva' and 'Hinduism'. Reacting to the alleged video of minor Muslim boys being forced to chant 'Jai Shri Ram', the PDP leader said that Hindutva is an 'a disease' which has 'afflicted millions of Indians and tarnished the name of a God.'
PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti's daughter Iltija on Sunday said that 'Hindutva' is a disease that is defaming Hinduism. It is promoting the 'lynching and oppression' of minorities, especially Muslims. She also said that the BJP is using it to strengthen its vote bank. The BJP strongly objected to this comment and demanded an apology for the 'abusive words'. Iltija posted a video on 'X' of the incident in which a Muslim man is allegedly being beaten up.
She wrote on the social media platform that 'Even Lord Ram will bow his head in helplessness and shame after seeing all this that minor Muslim boys are being beaten with chappals just because they refused to take the name of 'Ram'. Hindutva is a disease that has affected millions of Indians and tarnished the name of God.' Later, while talking to journalists on the sidelines of a function in Jammu, Iltija defended her remarks and accused the BJP of creating such a situation in the country.
