School Fee: Private schools cannot be arbitrary about fees now. The government has taken an important decision regarding the fees of private schools in Bhopal. Under this, a major change has been made in the transport fee. Now no private school will be able to charge transport fee separately. Transport fee will be considered as a part of the annual fee of the school. School fees will also include tuition fees, library, lab, computer, caution money and admission fees. No additional fee will be allowed separately.

New rule for fee hike:
Private schools will need permission from the district committee to hike fees by more than 15%. The state government has made new rules to control the fee hike of private schools. Schools whose annual fees are Rs 25,000 or less will not be covered under these new rules. Such schools will not need permission from the district committee to hike fees.

Formation of State Level Committee A
state level committee will be formed for appeals related to fee hike of more than 15%. The committee will be headed by the state's school education minister. The government introduced a bill in the assembly on Tuesday to amend the Private School Act-2024. It will be implemented after the approval of the Governor.

There are about 34,652 private schools
in Madhya Pradesh, out of which 16,000 schools have annual fees of Rs 25,000 or less. This step of the government is a major initiative to resolve disputes related to fees in private schools and increase transparency.
