Mumbai. 'Anupama' fame Rupali Ganguly has filed a defamation case against her stepdaughter Isha Verma. Isha has accused Rupali of breaking her parents' marriage. Isha is the daughter of Rupali's husband Ashwin K Verma and his first wife. Isha alleged that Rupali tortured both her and her mother mentally, emotionally, and physically. Rupali remained silent on all these allegations earlier. Her husband Ashwin issued a statement and clarified this. Now Rupali has broken her silence.

Rupali Ganguly has decided to give a direct reply to Isha Verma's allegations. Rupali has filed a case on November 11 with the help of her legal advisor celebrity lawyer Sana Rais Khan. Sana has also been a contestant on 'Bigg Boss 17'. A compensation of Rs 50 crore has been demanded in the case. It has been said that Isha's claims have wrongly tarnished Ganguly's personal and professional reputation.

Isha Verma had commented on Rupali Ganguly's son.

According to Sana Khan's legal team, Rupali decided to take this action when Isha made comments on her 11-year-old son. Rupali could not tolerate this. Sana's team explained the reason for the legal action, "We have issued a defamation notice to her stepdaughter in response to her false and harmful statements."

The team said, “Rupali Ganguly stands firmly against the use of defamatory tactics for publicity and has taken this legal action to protect her image from baseless claims.
