RRB CEN No. 08/2024: The RRB’S has today issued notice no RRB CEN No. 08/2024 on 21 January 2025, this notice is with regard to the recruitment for various posts in the level 1 categpry of the 7th CPC Pay Matrix. A total of 32,438 posts have been made available for employment opportunities. From January 23rd february, 2025 all potential candidates will have the ability to apply for the posts up until the deadline of 22 feb upgrade 2025. There will be a RRB Group D exam which will be conducted in the Computer Based test mode.
“In particular cases, the prescribed dates shall be notified through the web sites of Railway Recruitment Cells (RRCs) mentioned in para 21.0(B) of this CEN along with the PET, document scrutiny, medical examination, and the final selection of the candidates. Eligible citizens of India and other foreigners can submit an online application for the RRC posts at level 1 of the 7th CPC Pay Matrix in the different regions of Indian Railway through the RRBs, as it is stated in Para 4 of this CEN. All applications must be submitted to RRBs on or before 22.02.2025 at 23:59 hours,” it is stated in the notification.

For this recruitment, the position of Assistant Loco Shed, Pointsman, Assistant Bridge, Assistant Road Cordon, Cabinman, Track Maintainer, Assistant Depot (Stores), and others are available. Candidates should check the detailed recruitment office for specific by-post vacancy information.
RRB Group D Required Documents and Competencies
Educational Qualification: Group D recruitment is open to candidates who have completed class 10.
IST Diploma Condition: Group D job applicants are no longer strictly required to possess an ITI diploma. In the past, those seeking employment in the technical branches were expected to hold a certificate of completion of standard 10 education paired with a NCSC or ITI diploma from Council for National Vocational Training (NCVT). Other candidates were unable to apply.
RRB Group D Age Requirements
As per the detailed advertisement, relaxations to the age limit that should fall within the range of 18 to 36 years, having cut-off date of January 1st, 2025.
To adjust for gaps caused by the above-age limit candidates missing out on the Railway recruitment process due to Covid -19, an extra three years relaxations have been approved for Level-1 upper age limit restrictions, as a one-off allowance.
