Patna. No one knows what will happen in Bihar politics. Recently, amid speculations about Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar joining the Mahagathbandhan, Lalu Prasad's statement that 'his doors are always open for Nitish' created a new stir in the state. But now Nitish Kumar has made it clear in one of his statements that which direction he will take.
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Saturday said he had made a mistake twice in the past when he joined hands with the RJD and now he will stay with the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA). The Bihar chief minister's statement comes at a time when there is speculation about a possible alliance between his party JDU and the Mahagathbandhan ahead of the Bihar elections, especially after Lalu Prasad's "doors are open for Nitish" statement,
Addressing a review meeting, Nitish Kumar said, “The people of Bihar gave us the opportunity to work from 24 November 2005. Since then we have been continuously working for the development of the state. Before 2005, the condition of Bihar was very bad. People were afraid to go out of their homes after evening, there was no arrangement for treatment in hospitals, the condition of roads was bad.”
CM Nitish said, "When the people of Bihar gave us a chance to work, the condition of the state changed. We chose the other way round twice by mistake. But now we will always be together and will develop Bihar as well as the country."
RJD's invitation to Nitish
In an interview to a YouTube channel, RJD supremo Lalu Yadav had said that "the doors of the Mahagathbandhan are open for Nitish Kumar." During the interview, Lalu said, "Nitish Kumar can join us and work together." He reiterated that his doors are open for both the public and Nitish Kumar.
Responding to the question, if Nitish decides to come back, Lalu insisted that there will be no problem in working together. However, Lalu's son Tejashwi Yadav downplayed his father's comments and said, "You people ask him the same question again and again; and what will he say? He said this just to calm you down." He termed these comments as an attempt to satisfy the media's curiosity.
