Firozabad: The dream of studying in big schools will come true for the children of economically weaker families in the city. The education department has started the online application process for free admission to private schools. With this initiative, children from poor families will be able to get a better education, for which the selection will be done through a lottery. The entire process will be completed in four phases, and the selected children will start going to school in April.

Basic Shiksha Adhikari (BSA) Ashish Kumar Pandey said that the application process for free admission of poor children in private schools has started. Registered private schools must reserve 25% of their total seats for children of poor families. The government will bear the fees, notebooks, books, and other expenses of the selected children will be borne by the government. This scheme applies to children up to class 8.

Selection can be done through a lottery.
Admission in private schools will be done under the lottery process, so that transparency is maintained. Selected children will get a chance to go to school from April 1. This scheme has been implemented to connect poor families with the mainstream of education.

The process will be completed in four phases
According to BSA, the admission process will be completed in four phases
First phase: From 1 December to 19 December 2023.
Second phase: From 1 January to 19 January 2024.
Third phase: From 1 February to 19 February 2024.
Fourth phase: From 1 March to 19 March 2024.

Families who want to get their children admitted to private schools for free should apply on time. The online application process is open, and applications will not be accepted after the last date.
