New Delhi. Buying a house, plot, or shop in Gurugram, which is one of the most expensive cities in the country in terms of property, has now become even more expensive. The Gurugram administration has announced an increase of 10 to 30 percent in the collector rate of land i.e. circle rate. The new collector rates will be effective from December 1 and will remain in force till March 31. The decision to increase the collector rate was taken in a meeting of sub-divisional officers and revenue department officials in the Mini Secretariat under the chairmanship of DC Ajay Kumar. The DC said that the collector rate of residential, agricultural,l and commercial land has been increased.

The new collector rates will also be available on the district's official website gurgaon.gov.in. In some areas where the market value was higher, the collector rates have been increased by up to 30 percent. The DC clarified that these have been determined based on market research and property prices of the areas. Changes in circle rates are recommended by a district-level committee, which gives its advice after conducting a thorough study of the market. The final approval for the increased rates has been received from the state government and the revenue department.

10-20% hike in most areas
Circle rates will increase by 10% to 20% in most areas of Gurugram. However, properties in prime and expensive areas of the city such as Golf Course Road, Southern Peripheral Expressway, and Dwarka Expressway will see a 30% hike in circle rates. DC Ajay Kumar said the hike was necessary considering the market value in these areas. The
