Third day of Navratri
According to mythology, once upon a time demons took over the earth and troubled people in every way. Even a demon named Mahishasura did not spare the gods and reached heaven to usurp the throne of Devraj Indra. In such a situation, the gods reached Lord Brahma, Vishnu, and Mahesh to free the earth and heaven from the demons, after which all three gods expressed anger. During this, a divine energy came out of their mouth, which incarnated in the form of Maa Chandraghanta. Lord Shiva gave a trident to Goddess Chandraghanta, Vishnu ji gave chakra, Indra gave his bell and Surya gave his brightness. After which Goddess Chandraghanta killed Mahishasura.
