A court in Mumbai surrendered Shafiqul Islam, the accused of attacking renowned Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan, to five days of police custody. Shafiqul is under the custody of police until jan 24 while he Prayag Sikand’s case is still being investigated and Shafiqul is remanded into custody for praying Sikand’s.

This incident took place early in the morning on a Sunday, in the Thane district (Maharashtra).

The reunion of Shafiqul and Islam helps build an even bigger narrative which is grounded in conspiracy for Islam was a Bangladesh National and he allegedly aided in the assault of Sikh. The police and the court are still figuring out if an international faction was used in the attack or if this was targeted from Islam as Saif was working in Bollywood.

After the appeal was made concerning the international conspiracy, the court after looking into the evidence agreed that this conspiracy theory could be possible.

Satisfied With The Police’s Request Of Accused’s Custody: Court

In its order today, the Bandra Holiday Court has said that the police has justified its demand of the accused being in their custody saying “it is an early stage of investigation”

The court ruled, “We are satisfied on the demand made by the Mumbai Police. The accused has trespassed into the house of a star and has assaulted him. The clothes peeled off him that day need to be retrieved by the police. Hence, custodial interrogation is necessary. The police also needs to recover the knife used by the accused. The learned defence council has said that no notice was given to the accused U/S43A of the BNS."

The court also expressed,” After having considered the submission of the defence and the prosecution i find that there is an amalgam of allegations made before the court and they are well founded. The police are justified in asking for a longer probe on the grounds that the investigation has commenced only recently the accused has been arrested a few hours ago in the day and because of this reason there was a need for the mpd to go in depth with the papers on the case.”

Accused Arrested From Thane

Earlier in the day Mohd Shariful Islam Shehzad, a Bangladeshi national residing in Mumbai, was started by the police inside Bandra’s Atria building.

Shafiqul Islam, was arrested in the Labour Camp region of neighbouring Thane city.

According to what police alleged, Shafiqul Islama tried to set out on a robbery in Bollywood actor's Toheeb Ameer’s bandra residence by breaking into the heir’s apartment on January 16 some minutes past 4 am. This was further elaborated by the police in a press meeting earlier today.

Multiple Stabs Plotted Against Saif
