New Delhi/Ranchi. Hemant Soren has returned to power with a huge majority in the Jharkhand assembly elections. In Jharkhand, Hemant Soren's party Jharkhand Mukti Morcha contested the assembly elections with Congress and Rashtriya Janata Dal. It was being said that there would be a tough challenge from the opposition BJP. However, in the election results, the JMM-led alliance was successful in returning to Jharkhand with a clear majority. Hemant Soren took oath as the Chief Minister of Jharkhand for the second consecutive time on Thursday. On this occasion, all the big leaders of the opposition India Block were present.

The opposition camp in a way demonstrated its strength at the national level in Hemant Soren's swearing-in ceremony. Along with West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, big leaders like Rahul Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge, DK Shivakumar, Akhilesh Yadav, Arvind Kejriwal, Bhagwant Mann, Udayanidhi Maran marked their presence. Hemant Soren's wife Kalpana Soren and Arvind Kejriwal's wife Sunita Kejriwal were also present on the stage. Interestingly, Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Uddhav Thackeray was absent. Hemant Soren's swearing-in ceremony is also being seen as a display of unity of opposition parties.

A glimpse of opposition politics was also seen on the stage. Hemant Soren's wife Kalpana Soren has made her strong presence felt in politics by winning the assembly elections. Kalpana Soren was seen sitting next to former Congress national president Rahul Gandhi. The interesting thing is that before her, Karnataka Deputy CM Shivkumar was sitting next to Rahul. As soon as Kalpana came on the stage, he vacated this seat for her. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge was sitting next to Rahul. Hemant Soren himself was seated with Kharge. However, the rift between Congress and Mamta Banerjee was clearly visible on Hemant's stage. Bengal CM Mamta Banerjee was sitting quite far away from Rahul Gandhi and Kharge. Sunita Kejriwal was sitting next to her. Let us tell you that when Arvind Kejriwal was in jail, Mamta met Sunita and said that she would always stand with her.
