There is a problem regarding seat sharing in the Mahagathbandhan in Jharkhand. Congress-Jharkhand Mukti Morcha is ready, but RJD is said to be angry. But in the meantime, when Rahul Gandhi reached Ranchi, he took the name of President Draupadi Murmu and made such a move that the BJP will have to answer. Apart from this, he also tried to woo the Other Backward Classes (OBC) by mentioning the caste census.

While addressing the 'Samvidhan Samman Sammelan' before the Jharkhand assembly elections, Rahul Gandhi tried to woo the tribals by taking the name of Murmu. Attacking the BJP, he said, the President belongs to the tribal class. But when the Parliament is inaugurated, she is not invited because she is a tribal. The Ram temple is inaugurated with great pomp. But the President is not invited because she is a tribal. When the BJP people call the tribals Vanvasis, what are they trying to say? They are trying to end your way of living, history, and science, which you have been following for thousands of years.

Rahul Gandhi explained the difference between Adivasi and Vanvasi.
While explaining the difference between Adivasi and Vanvasi, he said, Adivasi means those who were the first owners while Vanvasi means those who live in the forest. When this word is used, it is not just a word. It is your entire history. I have studied in the education system of India. You will find only 10-15 lines about Adivasis. What is their history, what is their way of living? Nothing has been written about that… The word OBC was used for you. Is this your name? Who said you are backward? You are not given your rights.
Rahul Gandhi said that caste-based census is a means of getting social 'X-ray' but the Prime Minister is opposing it. Even without the support of the media and judiciary, no force can stop the caste-based census and the removal of the 50 percent limit on the reservation. Our government will come and we will do it .

Why the big bet?

  1. Tribals are a big factor in Jharkhand. Their participation in the total population of the state is more than 29 percent. They dominate four out of five divisions i.e. commissioners in the state. That is why the key to power is with the tribals.
  2. 29 assembly seats in Jharkhand are tribal-dominated. Not only this, women voters here are more than men. By calling Draupadi Murmu an insult, Rahul Gandhi wants to give a message to the tribals there, especially the women voters.
  3. Since 2005, tribals have been the biggest issue here. So far, there have been 7 chief ministers, but except Raghuvar Das, 6 of them belong to the tribal community. Four of them belong to the BJP. Jharkhand Mukti Morcha has dominated the tribal areas.
  4. There was a time when a good number of tribals were with the BJP, but in the last few elections, the BJP's hold has weakened. Rahul Gandhi is trying to take advantage of that.
