How to Accurate Monitor BP: India is standing on a time bomb of high blood pressure. It is declared that 20 to 25 crore people here have high blood pressure but many more people do not know that they have high blood pressure. In high blood pressure, the blood pressure goes above 140/90. High blood pressure is a disease that makes everyone from the heart to the kidney sweat and the danger of heart attack always looms. The problem is that some symptoms of high blood pressure are not visible in the body, so most people are unaware that they have high blood pressure. In this too, if someone ever checks BP, then most people do not check it properly. Therefore, the measurement of BP sometimes goes very high and sometimes goes very low. In such a situation, it is important to know how to do the correct test.
This is the correct way to measure.
Recently, the Cardiological Society of India has issued new guidelines for managing high blood pressure, which also explains how BP should be checked. According to the new guidelines, if you have drunk anything half an hour before your BP is being checked, the measurement will not be correct. Therefore, when you go for a BP check, do not drink anything for half an hour. There should be no urine in the bladder while getting your BP checked. Therefore, first urinate completely. Sit on a comfortable chair while getting your BP checked, but do not get it checked immediately. First, sit quietly for 5 minutes with your back straight and then put a cuff on your hand. When you are being checked, keep both your feet flat on the ground. Do not sit with your legs crossed. Put the cuff on your hand tightly. Make it so tight that only one finger can go in, never leave space for two fingers. Never put the cuff on your shirt or any other clothes. Do not talk when your BP is being checked. Make your hand flat and rest it on something and then measure. If you do it this way, you will get the correct measurement. Despite this, measure twice in this way.
How to regulate high BP
According to TOI's news, according to the new guidelines of the Cardiological Society of India, measure blood pressure twice, only then the correct measurement will come. At the same time, healthy diet and regular exercise are very important to manage it. It has been said in this guideline that reduce the consumption of alcohol completely and keep the weight under control at all costs, otherwise BP will become more dangerous. At the same time, keep doing some physical activities every day so that the body sweats while doing so. Reduce the intake of packaged food as much as possible, do not eat too much fried, processed and sweet things. Eat green leafy vegetables and fresh fruits daily. Include seeds, dry fruits etc. Get enough sleep and drink enough water. Do not take stress.
