These foods cause problems in conceiving
1. Cardamom
It is one of the best spices that helps in balancing the Vata and Kapha doshas in the body. It also helps in relieving breathing problems, body pain, heartburn, urine related problems, it is a natural mouth freshener, and acts as an aphrodisiac. Consumption of cardamom is also considered very beneficial for heart health. It improves digestion, helps in treating cough, and removes problems like erectile dysfunction and premature ejaculation in men.
But despite having so many benefits, it should not be consumed before conceiving. Ayurveda recommends consuming cardamom in very limited quantities during pregnancy. Also, it suggests avoiding it while conceiving. If consumed in excess, it can affect your fertility. Stop consuming it 2-3 months in advance.
2. Flax Seeds
These seeds are great for heart health. They maintain healthy cholesterol levels in the blood. They also help prevent and manage prostate and UTI problems.
But according to Ayurveda, flax seeds are hot in nature and are considered Shukraaghi, which means they contribute to the reduction of sperm/semen. They can affect the quality of sperm in men. Both men and women should avoid consuming them. Also, stop consuming them a few months in advance.
3. Hibiscus
This flower is considered very beneficial for health. They are cooling for the body. They are also used to get relief from migraine headaches. They help in relieving hair problems, pimples, and conditions related to pitta dosha.
But its consumption should also be avoided by pregnant women or couples trying to conceive. Because it has a contraceptive effect. Its consumption should be stopped for at least 3-4 months.
