New Delhi. If you use HDFC Bank's PayZapp Wallet to pay utility bills like electricity, gas, and water, then you need to be cautious. Actually, HDFC Bank has given a big shock to PayZapp Wallet users. Some changes have been made to the rules of PayZapp Wallet. The new rules will come into effect from January 6, 2025.
Many people load money in a PayZapp wallet using a credit card and then do many types of small and big transactions. If you also use the PayZapp wallet in this way, then it is going to be expensive for you. Earlier this charge was 1.5% which will be 2.5% from January 6. It is worth noting that PayZapp is a mobile application of HDFC Bank with the help of which many types of financial transactions can be done from online shopping to flight ticket booking, utility bills, mobile recharge etc.

The bank has informed the customers about this by sending an SMS. According to HDFC Bank's website, if a user adds money to a PayZapp wallet using a credit card, he will have to pay an extra charge of 2.5% plus GST. These rules will come into effect from January 6. However, there will be no charge for adding money to a PayZapp wallet using a UPI or debit card.
Now transfer money from your PayZapp wallet to a savings account for free
Currently, a charge of 1% plus GST has to be paid for transferring PayZapp wallet funds to a bank account. Now such transactions will be free. From January 6, there will be no charge for transferring PayZapp wallet funds to a bank account.
The rules were also changed on August 1
Earlier, HDFC Bank had changed the rules of the PayZapp wallet on August 1, 2024. Before August 1, there was no charge for loading funds in the PayZapp wallet through a credit card. From August 1, 2024, a 1.5 percent plus GST charge has to be paid for loading funds in the PayZapp wallet through a credit card.
