NEET Story: At an age when a child does not know whether to take Arts, Science, or Commerce, he started preparing for NEET UG. His dream was to become a doctor and he started working towards it from a young age. After this, he not only passed the NEET UG exam but also secured the top 2 ranks. Even after this, he did not take admission to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) and completed his studies at this medical college. The person we are talking about is Rohan Purohit.

Rohan Purohit, who secured second rank in NEET UG,
originally hails from Hyderabad. He has secured second position at the all-India level in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-2018). Purohit comes from a family of doctors and he himself wanted to become a doctor. He has been preparing to become a doctor since class 9th and he has been successful in achieving his goal. Along with this, he used to participate in the National Science Olympiad and National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) during his school days.

Did MBBS from here, not from AIIMS
Rohan Purohit, son of a cardiologist from Hyderabad city, did not take admission to AIIMS even after securing second rank in NEET UG. He got an MBBS degree from Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER), Puducherry, which is considered the second AIIMS in the country. After this, he also got 224 rank in the NEET PG exam. This is the first time he has been successful in securing the top position in a competitive exam, which is a big victory for him.

Father is also a doctor.
Rohan's (Rohan Purohit) father Bharat V Purohit is working as the head of the cardiology department at Continental Hospital. He believed that all streams are equally important and interesting. There is still time before choosing a specialization and his interests will keep changing from time to time. Purohit missed the prestigious all-India level first position by just one mark, but has topped South India.
