The third trial of the cancer vaccine of Moderna and Merck company has also been done but it will take time till 2030 for this vaccine to come. Dr. Shyam Agarwal, Chairman of the Cancer Department at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, says that if Russia's claim is actually linked to reality, then it can prove to be a milestone in the history of cancer, but we still have to look at many things regarding this Russian vaccine. Dr. Shyam Agarwal said that Russia has claimed to have prepared a messenger RNA-based vaccine for many types of cancer. In fact, m-RNA are tumor cells that have abnormal proteins on their surface. This is called tumor antigen or tumor associated antigen -TAA. Every type of cancer cells have different TAA. Also understand that the antigen that is formed is made from m-RNA only. It is a type of protein. Russian scientists say that they have discovered many antigens for different types of cancer.

m-RNA was developed against all these antigens and it was mixed in lipid suspension and given to the patients. When m-RNA enters someone's body, it makes the body's immune system so capable that it recognizes the cancer cells inside the body and kills them by converting them into tumor antigens. Since this vaccine is for cancer patients as well as for prevention of cancer, if someone has cancer cells, it destroys them and if there are no cancer cells, it keeps moving in the body and kills cancer cells as soon as they grow.

Dr. Shyam Agarwal said that nothing has been said about its human trial yet, so it remains to be understood how much dose this vaccine will have and on what kind of patients it will be used. Only when the data of the trial on humans comes out, can this vaccine be understood properly. It is also true that a long time is required to do such things. Theoretically, it seems right at the moment, but after implementing it on the ground, its effect will be tested. If they get this success, then they can actually be entitled to the Nobel Prize.

Dr. Sarika Gupta, Unit Head of Gynecological Surgical Oncology, Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute and Research Center, says that Russia has claimed that the vaccine it has made will strengthen the immune system to such an extent that it will destroy cancer cells on its own. However, many things are hidden in this claim of Russia. Till now it is not known how this vaccine has been made using m-RNA technology, that is, what is its methodology and what is its mechanism. Russia is saying that the vaccine is immunomodulatory, that is, cancer cells will be killed by making the immune system capable.

Therefore, until any research paper comes out regarding the research of this vaccine, it cannot be trusted.

Alexander Gintsburg, Director of the Gamaleya National Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology, has said that the pre-clinical trial of the vaccine has been very successful and it suppresses the growth of the tumor and its metastasis stage. Gintsburg said that we are taking the help of artificial neural network in the manufacture of this vaccine, under which the vaccine will be prepared within an hour. Till now it takes a lot of time to make a personalized vaccine. In this, matrix methods are used from a mathematical point of view to see how the customized mRNA should look like, which is a very long process, but with the help of neural network computing it will be completed within half to one hour.
