Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde did not want to contest the assembly elections this time. This was revealed by his party's senior leader and MP Naresh Mhaske, after which once again the discussion about the CM face started. The MP said that Shinde had put this matter in front of the party leaders. But then the party leaders assured him, so he agreed to enter the electoral fray.

According to Lokmat's report, Shiv Sena MP from Thane, Naresh Mhaske said, that CM Eknath Shinde had said in the meeting of party officials that he does not want to contest the assembly elections this time. Last week, he expressed his feelings in front of our MPs Rahul Shewale and Sanjay Nirupam. He said that he wants to travel all over Maharashtra. Then all of us leaders went to him. He requested that you just fill out the form, and we will take care of the rest of the work. He has filed the form at the insistence of the workers.

MP Naresh Mhaske also gave the reason and
said, every Shiv Sena candidate wants Eknath Shinde to come to their assembly and campaign, in such a situation if he campaigns then he will not be able to keep an eye on his assembly. But we requested him that you do not need to come. He claimed that Eknath Shinde thinks about other party leaders before himself. That is why he did not want to get stuck in his election and not be able to give time to other candidates.

Understand the meaning
After the MP's statement, the opposition started claiming that Eknath Shinde knew that he would not be able to remain CM after the elections. Perhaps that is why he does not want to contest the elections. But Shiv Sena has rejected all the claims of the opposition and claimed that the power will come to the Mahayuti.

Where are you contesting elections from?

  • Eknath Shinde is contesting from Kopri-Pachpakadi again. To contest against him, Uddhav Thackeray has fielded Kedar Dighe, the nephew of Shinde's mentor Anand Dighe. Therefore, the contest is considered very interesting. On the other hand, Raj Thackeray has supported Shinde in this seat.
  • After Eknath Shinde broke away from Shiv Sena, Uddhav Thackeray suffered the biggest setback in this area. Most of the leaders and officials of Thane district went with Shinde. Uddhav's faction did not succeed in this area even in the Lok Sabha elections. They were able to win only the Bhiwandi seat.
