New Delhi. The central government has started preparations to crack down on e-commerce companies like Flipkart and Amazon. According to the Central Consumer Ministry, the government has become serious about the complaints of consumers. This time in the festival sale, the government will impose a fine on e-commerce companies that fool people by offering iPhones for 1 rupee and 11 rupees. The central government is receiving many types of complaints regarding misleading advertisements, which include cases like arbitrary charging of shipping charges, and supply of goods contrary to claims. If such a complaint is received this season, then action will be taken on it as well and a fine will be imposed.

Now you will have to pay for an iPhone for Rs. 1.
The festive season is going to start in the country in the coming days. In this season, all kinds of attractive offers will be given by the e-commerce companies. But, if complaints are received from the consumers about these offers, then immediate action will be taken. For the past few years, complaints have been received continuously from the consumers. Consumers have mentioned in their complaints that the e-commerce companies do give attractive offers to attract the customers. But, when the payment option comes, the companies charge the shipping charge for each item differently and arbitrarily.

Strictness also regarding shipping charges and return policy:
The ministry has received many such cases in which there have been complaints of delivery of the wrong product. Thousands of such cases have been registered in the consumer forum. After this, the offer ends and the e-commerce companies fool the consumers by giving them the option of canceling the booking. Let us tell you that you can also register a complaint related to e-commerce companies by calling the helpline number 1800114000 or 1915. For this, the name of the e-commerce company platform, date of order, invoice number, and many other types of information have to be given.

The laws of the states will also apply to e-commerce.
Let us tell you that on the lines of the Modi government at the center, now many state governments have also made separate laws in their states to crack down on e-commerce companies. Even after the Consumer Protection Act 2019 by the central government, the incidents of online fraud in the country are not decreasing. In such a situation, the central government has started to rectify it. Let us tell you that Uttar Pradesh is the first state in the country, where even after the implementation of the Consumer Protection Act 2019, a mechanism has been created that works on incidents of online fraud.
