Chronic Stress Cause Heart Diseases: In today's busy life, people are facing excessive stress, which can prove to be very dangerous for their health. Children, working people and women feel stressed about something or the other every day. Sometimes this stress lasts for some time, but if it persists for a long time, it can take a serious form, which is called chronic stress. According to doctors, chronic stress is dangerous for heart health. Too much stress can make you a heart patient at an early age.
Dr. Rajat Gupta, Consultant Cardiologist, Krishna Heart and General Hospital, Jaipur, said that chronic stress can have a profound effect on your heart. Long-term stress increases the risk of heart disease. One should try to avoid it. Activities like mindfulness meditation, deep breathing and yoga help reduce stress. This not only reduces cortisol levels, but also keeps blood pressure under control. Apart from this, spending time with friends, doing things of your choice and getting adequate sleep reduces stress and improves heart health.
Experts said that if we pay attention to our eating habits and lifestyle, we can avoid heart problems and keep the heart healthy for a long time. Healthy lifestyle, regular exercise and healthy diet can make the heart healthy. Apart from this, it is also very important to get rid of stress. People often ignore minor stress, which can later turn into serious problems. When stress increases a lot, it turns into chronic stress, which can be very dangerous for the heart.
The doctor said that heart disease can be avoided by controlling stress. Apart from this, include fruits, vegetables, whole grains, protein and foods rich in healthy fats in your diet. Eat foods rich in omega-3 fatty acids like salmon fish, walnuts and flaxseed. This helps in reducing bad cholesterol and prevents heart disease. Sweet snacks and foods and drinks containing trans fat should be avoided, as these can form plaque in the arteries, which causes heart disease. To keep the heart healthy, 30 to 60 minutes of exercise daily is very important.
According to health experts, brisk walking, swimming or cycling strengthens the heart muscles and also helps in controlling weight. Doctors recommend that all adults should exercise for at least 150 minutes every week i.e. about 30 minutes every day. Also, smoking and alcohol consumption should be avoided. Both these things can cause problems like high blood pressure, heart disease and stroke.
