When we have a cold or pain, we quickly consume the medicines kept at home. If we have diabetes, then we remember some medicines that we take without consulting a doctor. But this carelessness can prove fatal for you. In the investigation by the Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO), 49 such medicines have been found to be substandard, while 4 medicines have been found to be fake.

CDSO had conducted tests on 67 medicines in October 2024. Out of these, 53 were tested in the central laboratory and 18 in the state laboratories. It was found that the medicines of 49 reputed companies are sub-standard, while 4 medicines are fake.
