Chaurchan Puja Method

• On this day, wake up early in the morning, take a bath, and pledge to fast.
• Then in the evening, plaster the courtyard of the house with cow dung or clean it thoroughly.
• After this, grind raw rice and make rangoli in the courtyard of the house.
• Then make a round moon with the help of a banana leaf.
• After this, prepare various sweet dishes and offer them to God.
• Then the moon is worshipped.
• Curd is definitely used in the worship on this day. Apart from this, a special kind of kheer is prepared in a bamboo vessel on this day.
• This kheer is offered to Lord Chandra.

It is said that once Chandradev became very proud of his beauty. Due to this, he made fun of Lord Ganesha. Then Lord Ganesha cursed him due to which his beauty went away. Then Chandradev realized his mistake and to please Lord Ganesha, he worshiped Ganesha on the Chaturthi of Bhadrapad month. After which Lord Ganesha blessed him so that whoever saw Chandradev and worshiped him on Ganesh Chaturthi, his life will remain spotless. It is said that since then Chaurchan Puja festival started being celebrated.
