The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has not made any cuts in the syllabus of the 10th and 12th examinations. According to the CBSE notice, the syllabus of the 10th and 12th board exams to be held next year has not been reduced by 15 percent. The board also clarified that the CBSE exam will not be conducted on the open book pattern. CBSE Board High School and Intermediate examinations are expected to start from February 15, 2025. CBSE Board Syllabus: Will the CBSE board syllabus be changed?
CBSE said in its statement that various media reports have reported a 15 percent reduction in the syllabus, which is wrong. There has been no reduction in the CBSE board syllabus. The board exam in 2025 will be conducted as per the already prescribed syllabus. It is clear from this that the CBSE board has not taken any decision regarding the reduction in the syllabus. Whenever any change is made in the CBSE board exam, its details will be given on the official website.
CBSE 10, 12 Exam 2025: How many times will CBSE board exams be held in a year?
Board exams will be conducted twice a year to implement the National Education Policy 2020 (NEP 2020). The Ministry of Education has asked CBSE to prepare a proposal in this regard. As per the recommendation of the National Curriculum Framework for School Education (NCFSE), the government is considering conducting a second board exam for class 12 students in June from 2026. However, there is no official update from CBSE in this regard yet.
CBSE Toppers: Will the CBSE Board Topper List be released?
The Central Board of Secondary Education has not been releasing the list of toppers of 10th and 12th board exams for the last few years (CBSE Topper List). It is believed that the names, marks, distinctions, etc. of the toppers will not be announced even in the CBSE board exam to be held in 2025. CBSE had told last year that the board will not give any overall division, distinction, or aggregate to the students appearing for class 10 and class 12 exams in 2024.
