Before leaving for the airport, Health Minister Mangal Pandey said that the Chief Minister Bal Hriday Yojana is proving to be life-saving for children with holes in their hearts since birth.

Health Minister left for Gujarat with 20 children

Let us tell you that under this scheme, till now, 1501 children have been successfully operated free of cost by the Health Department under the guidance of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. Mangal Pandey further said that Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has taken many historic decisions to further improve the health services of the state. In the same sequence, surgery on children is also being done. After screening these children are sent to Shri Satya Sai Hospital in Ahmedabad, where the surgery process is completed. He further said that this time I myself am travelling alone, which will give me ample opportunity to see and understand all the arrangements.

The state government bears the entire expense

He said that these were such children whose financial condition was not good enough for their parents to get the surgery done in a private hospital. In such a situation, Bal Hriday Yojana has proved to be very effective and successful for them. Among the congenital diseases in children, a hole in the heart is a serious problem. Under this scheme, free treatment of children born with holes in the heart was arranged. In this, the expenses from the initial screening of the children to their travel are borne by the state government.
