BE and B. Tech Difference in Hindi:  Often when we talk about engineering studies, two courses are mentioned: the first is BE, whose full form is Bachelor of Engineering, and the second is BTech, which is called Bachelor of Technology. Both courses seem similar. In such a situation, many people are confused about BE and BTech. Now the question arises that what is the difference between the two?

So what is the difference?
Both BTech and BE courses have a duration of 4 years, and both have eight semesters. Actually, the basic difference between BTech and BE is that BE is considered a knowledge-based course. The Bachelor of Engineering (BE) course emphasizes more on theory. Being more knowledge-oriented, its syllabus and curriculum are not changed frequently. Some popular institutes like BITS Pilani, Anna University, and NSIT offer Bachelor of Engineering.

If we talk about Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech), then in this course more focus is given to practical knowledge rather than theory. It is considered an industrial-oriented course, so its syllabus and curriculum keep getting updated from time to time. IITs, NITs, DTU, etc. institutes offer B.Tech courses in engineering. In this way, in simple language, it can be said that a B.Tech degree is technology-oriented, while a BE degree is knowledge-oriented. During the BE course, students get an opportunity to understand every aspect of engineering in depth, while in B.Tech they get an opportunity to learn in depth about the technical aspects and applications of science.

Where is BE and who offers B.Tech?
Universities or colleges are places where you can do many professional courses including arts, science, and engineering. Many types of degree courses are conducted from here. In colleges which offer other subjects along with engineering, only Bachelor of Engineering (BE) course is offered. In colleges that offer only engineering, a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) course is offered. However, it is also important to know that both degrees are considered equal. Both B.Tech and BE are considered equal.

After which degree do you get a higher salary?
After doing both BTech and BE, candidates get jobs according to different courses. Having any of the two degrees has plenty of job opportunities in private companies. By doing any of the two courses, one can get a job in various sectors including government, private, and PSU. However, it is important to know clearly about BTech and BE that the salary and package also depend on which institute you have taken the degree from. If you have done BTech from IIT, then it is obvious that companies will accept you readily. Those who do BE and BTech from good institutes abroad get a package of Rs 1 crore each. Recently, a New York company has offered a package of Rs 1 crore 2 lakh to a student who did BTech from Triple IT Prayagraj. Similarly, 6 students have got a package of up to 85 lakhs.
