New Delhi: Many film stars attended the funeral of Malaika Arora's father Anil Mehta and consoled the actress and her family in this hour of grief. The actress's stepfather Anil Mehta passed away on Wednesday, September 11. Malaika Arora's ex-husband Arbaaz Khan and his wife Shura Khan stayed with her for a long time after the funeral. Both of them attended the funeral. The couple was seen by the paparazzi coming out of Malaika's parents' apartment after a long time.

In a video shared on Instagram, Arbaaz and Shura are seen leaving the Arora family's house. The actor and his wife also met Gauri Khan. It seems that the couple stayed at Malaika Arora's parent's house for a long time to make sure that Malaika is fine. Arbaaz was the first person to reach Anil Mehta's house after his demise. He was with Malaika's family till late last night and was supporting them in their every need.

Anil Mehta, Malaika's stepfather, died on Wednesday. Initial investigations have revealed that he died by suicide. However, Mumbai Police has said that they are investigating the death from every angle. According to a report by News18 English, Anil Mehta's postmortem was conducted at around 8 pm on Wednesday. An insider revealed that the report states that Mehta died due to multiple injuries. Earlier, sources had claimed that Malaika's mother had said in her statement to the police that Anil used to regularly sit on the balcony and read the newspaper every morning. She told the police that they were divorced and had started living together again for the last few years.
