New Delhi. Chief Minister Atishi Marlena of the country's capital Delhi announced on Sunday that 10 people will be deployed to assist various agencies dealing with air pollution. The deployment of 10,000 civil defense volunteers who were removed from the post of bus marshal last year will begin in the next 2-4 days. CM Atishi said that a detailed proposal for their permanent appointment will also be sent to Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena for approval within a week.

These announcements come a day after Lieutenant Governor Saxena wrote a letter to Atishi, in which he said that despite his order to re-appoint the Civil Defense Volunteers immediately, he has not yet received any proposal in this regard. LG Saxena said in his letter, 'Of course, you and your party leaders will continue to do politics to take credit for their (volunteers) reinstatement, but further delay in the welfare of these economically weak and helpless people is not right in any way.' Let us tell you that in November last year, about 10,000 civil defense volunteers working as marshals in government buses in Delhi were removed from their posts after objections were raised by the Revenue and Finance Department.

'Deployment in two to four days'
Delhi Chief Minister said that in a meeting last week, several measures were taken by various agencies to deal with pollution. Volunteers have been deployed under the responsibility of implementing it. She further said that the deployment of the remaining civil defense volunteers will start in the next 2-4 days. CM Atishi criticized the BJP and said that it should stop its dirty politics on this issue. She claimed that the BJP will try to stop the AAP government's proposal sent to the Lieutenant Governor for the permanent appointment of CDV.

Attack on BJP
Chief Minister Atishi said that the BJP should stop its dirty politics on the issue of bus marshals. First, his salary was stopped in April last year and finally, he was removed in October 2023 due to the conspiracy of the BJP. BJP's Delhi unit chief Virendra Sachdeva said that no matter how many stories Atishi fabricates on this matter, if the Chief Minister is unable to send the proposal for re-appointment of CDV to the Lieutenant Governor by Monday, then a protest will be held outside her residence. Atishi had alleged that BJP is doing dirty politics with contract workers in its ruled states, while AAP-ruled Punjab is the only state to give permanent jobs to thousands of sanitation workers and teachers.
