The work of Noida International Airport in Jewar, Greater Noida is going on at a fast pace. Along with this, a campaign is also going on to connect this airport to all the nearby expressways. Now the way to provide direct connectivity from Jewar Airport to the Delhi-Meerut Expressway has also been cleared. NHAI has approved the authority to build Yamuna Pushta Road ( New Expressway ), which will be built till NH-9 i.e. Delhi-Meerut Expressway.
NHAI has also attached a consultant company to work on this project of Yamuna Pushta Road with Noida Authority. In this way, preparations have also started to build a new expressway parallel to the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway.
With the construction of Yamuna Pushta Road, more than 10 lakh people traveling on the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway every day will get relief from the hassle of traffic jams. Meanwhile, the work of Noida International Airport is also going on at a fast pace and the time of its inauguration is coming closer. It is expected that Jewar Airport will start by the end of this year. Once the airport starts, the traffic on the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway is expected to double.
Possibilities were being repeatedly explored to provide better connectivity to Noida International Airport and to reduce pressure on the existing expressway. For this, every time there was a push to make Yamuna Pushta Road a parallel expressway. Noida-Greater Noida Expressway would also benefit from this, because the construction of this road would reduce the traffic pressure on the expressway.
Noida Authority does not have the funds to build a new expressway parallel to the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway. This is the reason why NHAI was repeatedly being asked to build it so that the new connectivity could be built on time. However, due to the distance from the link road of the National Highway, NHAI was not getting involved in it.
Finally, the authority has found a solution to this. The proposed Yamuna Pushta Road has now been connected to NH-9 near Mayur Vihar and then Akshardham via Chilla Elevated Road. This is the reason why now NHAI has also approved its construction.
