
Bhagalpur, Bihar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday transferred ₹22,000 crore directly into the bank accounts of 9.8 crore farmers across India under the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. The event, held in Bhagalpur, Bihar, marked the 19th installment of the scheme.
Addressing the gathering, PM Modi highlighted that 75 lakh farmers from Bihar benefited from the latest installment, with ₹1,600 crore allocated to the state alone. He reiterated his vision of development based on four strong pillars:

However, he criticized opposition leaders who have questioned the grandeur of the event, stating:
"Some who were annoyed with the Ram Temple inauguration are now abusing the Maha Kumbh. They hate India’s glorious heritage."
