Cooper Connolly's catch proved fatal.
The 16th over of Perth Scorcher's innings was bowled by South Africa's Lockie Ferguson. Cooper Connolly chipped the second ball of the over to midwicket. The ball went in the air, and Daniel Sam and Cameron Bancroft ran face to face to catch it. Both had their eyes on the ball and they failed to see that the other fielder was also trying to catch it. Due to this, both the players collided badly.
