New Delhi. Pakistan had to face its second consecutive defeat in South Africa. In the second T20, South Africa defeated Pakistan by 7 wickets and won the 3-match T20 series. The Pakistani team is now facing the threat of a clean sweep in the series. A total of 416 runs were scored by both the teams in the second T20. In this high-scoring match, the Pakistan team could not bear the pressure and lost the series by losing the second consecutive match. Young opener Saim Ayub did play an innings of 98 runs but he too could not lead his team to victory. Captain Mohammad Rizwan, who faced criticism for slow batting in the first T20, also went out after scoring 11 runs off 13 balls in the second T20. Questions are bound to be raised on this innings of Rizwan as well.

Batting first, Pakistan scored 206 runs for 5 wickets. Opener Samy Ayub scored an unbeaten 98 runs off 57 balls with the help of 11 fours and 5 sixes while Irfan Khan played a quick innings of 30 runs off 16 balls. Babar Azam contributed 31 runs off 20 balls while captain Mohammad Rizwa scored 11 runs. Tayyab Tahir scored 6 runs while Usman Khan scored 3 runs. For South Africa, de Gullie and Arthur Bartman took two wickets each while one wicket went to George Linde. A total of 25 sixes were hit in the match in which Pakistani batsmen hit 9 sixes while South Africa hit 16 sixes.

Reeza Hendricks hit a brilliant century.
South Africa did not have a good start while chasing the target of 207 runs set by Pakistan. South Africa lost two wickets at the score of 28. After this, opener Reeza Hendricks took a fierce form. Reeza left behind the initial setbacks and took charge along with Rassie van der Dussen. Both the batsmen took the score from 28 to 185. Reeza played an innings of 117 runs in 63 balls which included 10 sixes and 7 fours. Dussen returned unbeaten after scoring 66 runs in 38 balls while captain Heinrich Klaasen played an unbeaten innings of 8 runs in 5 balls. South Africa scored 210 runs at the loss of 3 wickets with 3 balls remaining.

Haris Rauf was thrashed.
Pakistani bowlers were thrashed by South African batsmen. Especially Hendricks and Dusan. Pakistan's main strike bowler Shaheen Afridi did not get any wicket while Junaid Khan took 2 wickets for 40 runs in 4 overs. South African batsmen scored 57 runs in Haris Rauf's four overs while Abbas Afridi took one wicket for 46 runs in 3.3 overs.
